Study in Australia: UNSW PhD Scholarship in Taxation

An Australian Postgraduate Award Industry (APAI) scholarship is available at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate for a period of 3 years (subject to satisfactory progress). A tax-exempt stipend of roughly $32,860 per annum will be payable, which includes an Australian School of Business top-up scholarship.

The scholarship is primarily funded through an Australian Research Council Linkage grant titled: “Assessing and Addressing Tax System Complexity”. The candidate will receive training in interdisciplinary (law, economics and accounting) research, which is becoming increasingly important in research on all aspects of taxation. The project will help develop expertise and a future research leader in the area of taxation and simplification/complexity/compliance costs. Please refer to the PDF for application details.
